Today in honor of St. Teresa’s feast day Gillian focuses on
the “holy” woman at the well from the Gospel as one of Teresa’s favorite characters. Teresa says she was so enthralled with Jesus who knows everything and gives out “living water” that she went shouting through the streets. Gillian with Teresa lure us with descriptions of Desire, a deeper kind of knowing, self-knowledge that is a gift, sips that intoxicate, and being “on fire with thirst.”
